Customise a tractor – help Africa Press Release


Visitors to the Valtra stand at Agritechnica will have the chance to use their creativity and help Africa at the same time. The centrepiece of the stand is the new N113 HiTech tractor, which visitors can customise to their liking with signatures, fingerprints and paint jobs.

Valtra has been manufacturing tractors on the basis of individual customer orders for over 20 years already. Each customer has the chance to customise their own tractor to suit their specific needs. Hundreds of different accessories and options are available, creating over half a million unique combinations. Customising ensures that each tractor has the exact features and performance specifications for its intended purpose, while at the same time eliminating unnecessary costs for features that the customer does not need. Different colour options are the most visible example of Valtra’s tailor made approach. The Valtra Way of allowing the customer to specify his/her own tractor instead of buying it from stock is the most efficient and productive way both for the customer to own and manufacturer to build tractors. 

Giving visitors to Agritechnica the chance to sign and mark the tractor with their own fingerprints is not only a way to create a unique tractor, but also an opportunity to help develop agriculture in Africa. The tractor will be auctioned off after Agritechnica, and the proceeds will go towards supporting the Weiveld Agriculture School in South Africa. The school offers studies in agriculture, technology, hotel and restaurant management, and data processing to approximately 600 students. Valtra will donate an A93 HiTech tractor for the school’s use alongside tools and material for technical training. With this donation Valtra wants to help support expertise in agricultural machinery and develop training in this field. Together with the local importer Valtra is also committed to develop and support mechanics to work on local farms and dealerships and ensure continuity of agriculture education on the local community.
